Peer Review Process

The Qualitative Research in Early Childhood Education Journal is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal. Every manuscript submitted is subject to a rigorous peer review process conducted by at least two reviewers with relevant expertise. This process ensures the quality, credibility, and scholarly contribution of all published articles in the field of early childhood education.

1. Submission of Manuscript
Authors must submit manuscripts exclusively through the Open Journal System (OJS). Email submissions are not accepted.
2. Editorial Office Assessment
The editorial team evaluates the manuscript for alignment with the journal’s scope, formatting requirements, and overall quality. Manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin.
3. Appraisal by the Editor-in-Chief
The Editor-in-Chief assesses originality, relevance, and contribution. Manuscripts may be rejected without external review if they do not meet the criteria.
4. Invitation to Reviewers
The handling editor invites qualified reviewers based on expertise and research alignment. A double-blind peer review system is applied.
5. Response to Invitations
Reviewers accept or decline invitations based on expertise, availability, and conflict of interest.
6. Review is Conducted
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript and provide recommendations:
  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject
7. Journal Evaluates the Reviews
The Editor-in-Chief and handling editor review all feedback. Additional reviewers may be invited if needed.
8. Decision is Communicated
Authors receive the decision and reviewer comments via OJS. Reviewers are also informed of the outcome.
9. Final Process
Accepted manuscripts proceed to copyediting and publication. Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted via OJS.

Post-Revision Process

Authors must revise manuscripts based on reviewer comments and resubmit through OJS. Major revisions may be reviewed again, while minor revisions may be evaluated by the editor.

A manuscript is accepted once all reviewer comments have been addressed. Accepted articles will be published online and available as downloadable PDF files.
