Screening for Plagiarism

All manuscripts submitted to the Qualitative Research in Early Childhood Education Journal (QR-ECE) are screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin.

The journal strictly enforces academic integrity. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or self-plagiarism with a similarity index exceeding 20% will be immediately rejected.

QR-ECE is committed to ensuring that all authors adhere to international standards of academic honesty and ethical scholarship.

Definition of Plagiarism

Plagiarism occurs when an author uses ideas, information, or words from another source without proper acknowledgment. Even when unintentional, plagiarism is considered a serious academic violation and is unacceptable in scholarly publishing.

Citation Requirements

Use of Specific Information:
When authors use specific data such as names, dates, statistics, or detailed information from a source, proper citation is required. Exceptions apply only to widely known general knowledge.

Use of Ideas:
When authors adopt or build upon ideas from other researchers, proper citation is required, even if the idea has been further developed or modified.

Use of Direct Quotations:
When authors use exact words from another source, both citation and quotation marks must be provided. If four or more consecutive words are identical to a source, quotation marks are mandatory.

Editorial Action

The editorial team reserves the right to reject manuscripts that violate plagiarism standards. If plagiarism is detected after acceptance or publication, the journal may withdraw or retract the article.
